Job summary

Doncaster Council is seeking a School Improvement Advisor (Safeguarding) to work within Children, Young People and Families services. This hybrid role, based at the Civic Office, Waterdale, involves helping schools implement robust safeguarding procedures and advising on complex safeguarding matters.

You will lead training, QA activity across schools, and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding forums, including LADO meetings and the DSCP sub-groups.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
• Experience leading training and quality assurance across schools.

Responsibilities

• Advise on safeguarding issues and act as professional adviser at LADO meetings and DSCP sub-groups.
• Oversee performance and impact data for vulnerable cohorts and lead on the statutory Section 175 process.
• Manage the Doncaster DSL Network and contribute to MARAC and multi-agency safeguarding forums.
