Job summary

Rutland County Council seeks an experienced Education Safeguarding Adviser to the Virtual School to support expanded responsibilities and SEND/families reforms across Rutland. You will work across Children’s Services, schools, early years, health partners and safeguarding agencies to ensure that children’s educational experiences, needs and outcomes are integral to assessment, planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, attendance and SEND.
• Experience of working with schools and multi-agency partners.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• The ability to provide professional advice and challenge.
• A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior safeguarding expertise across Rutland's partnership landscape.
• Work with schools, trusts, early years, social care and health to ensure appropriate support.
• Represent education within Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MACPT).
• Promote educational involvement in Families First for Children reforms.
• Analyse information and performance data to identify trends and drive service improvement.
