Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a global engineering business to appoint a Sales Manager for their filtration division. This office-based role in Derbyshire includes UK and European travel, offering a competitive £50,000-£60,000 salary, car allowance, bonus, private healthcare and excellent benefits.

You will develop key accounts, win new business across the UK and Europe, and work with engineering and project teams to deliver technically focused solutions to energy sector operators.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales, account management, or business development role.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing customer relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand technical products and solutions.
• Knowledge of power generation, gas turbines, or filtration systems is highly desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK and Europe (approximately 40-50% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales within existing customer accounts across the energy sector.
• Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within power generation, oil & gas, hydrogen, and industrial markets.
• Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
• Generate quotations and commercially competitive proposals.
• Review customer specifications, technical documentation, and project requirements.
• Support marketing initiatives, exhibitions, trade events, and customer presentations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline activity.
• Conduct customer visits, site surveys, and condition assessments where required.
• Work collaboratively with internal engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Achieve and exceed order intake and revenue targets.
