Job summary

Qualifications

• Develop an integrated view of risk across the programme.
• Provide guidance in risk management and mitigation to teams across the programme.
• Support the development and delivery of risk management policies, processes and standards, leveraging industry best practice.
• Ensure risk management policies and processes are applied consistently and effectively across the programme and lifecycle.
• Support joint evaluation of risks by Project Controls and the supply chain to establish a risk profile and basis for risk-sharing and incentives.
• Support HS2’s periodic performance and risk reporting to inform leadership decisions on risk and contingency management.
• Provide advice on risk management to development and delivery areas across the organization.
• Guide other teams in relation to the use and understanding of risk management data.
• Provide functional line management, performance management and objective-setting support to direct reports.
• Support and implement Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) policies, processes and standards.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of risk exposure of threats, opportunities and issues for HS2 programme objectives.
• Statistically model identified risks in quantitative terms of cost, time and other risk categories.
• Provide a reliable assessment of overall HS2 programme risk exposure to inform financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with Risk Managers, Planners, Cost Managers and Project Controls Managers on risk assessments.
• Produce scenarios for risk exposure over time and compare with contingency provisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk management advice to development and delivery areas across the organisation.
• Guide teams in understanding and using risk management data.
• Deliver line management, performance management and objective-setting support to direct reports.
• Support the development and implementation of QRA policies, processes and standards.
• Quantitatively analyse risks affecting cost, time and other risk categories.
• Model risks to ensure robustness and auditability of HS2 programme risk models.
• Provide reliable assessments of overall programme risk exposure for financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with Risk Managers, Planners, Cost Managers and Project Controls Managers on risk assessments.
• Develop scenarios for risk exposure over time and assess against contingencies.
• Promote and embed EDI in all work and comply with organisational policies.
