Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Programme Performance Manager to provide performance insight across the programme. The role sits in project controls on a major infrastructure programme and requires NEC contract knowledge.

Sponsorship is not available, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. You will oversee assurance across the programme, manage mission-level risks, and guide contingency drawdown and delivery milestones.

Qualifications

• Senior project management or controls experience in infrastructure delivery.
• Experience leading teams or initiatives and readiness for greater responsibility.
• Experience supporting governance with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and integration of programme-wide performance insights.
• Manage mission-level risks and advise on drawdown of phase-level contingency.
• Compare performance against baselines and advise on mitigation and optimisation.
• Interpret performance data and identify initiatives to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
• Develop intelligence to support performance management and integration.
• Lead assurance, prioritisation and profiling for the annual Performance Measurement Plan.
• Analyse risks and opportunities to Delivery into Service dates and advise on changes to the PPD.
• Coordinate inputs from delivery teams, the PMO and controls resources.
• Carry out horizon scanning and planning to identify strategic risks and opportunities.
• Raise recommendations on active risk management.
