Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead risk management across the programme, maintain risk registers, facilitate reviews and provide clear risk reporting.

You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate risks, supporting informed decision-making and successful delivery in a challenging UK defence-related environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience leading risk management activities.
• Solid knowledge of risk management processes and practices.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication at executive level.
• Experience in a complex live operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of project and programme risk registers.
• Provide a strategic overview of risk with clear profiles against activities and timescales.
• Identify, assess and evaluate risks, opportunities and potential impacts.
• Develop, implement and monitor risk mitigation and response plans.
• Facilitate risk reviews, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide risk reporting highlighting key risks, trends and actions.
• Build trust and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with industry partners and monitor performance on risk factors.
• Identify and manage emerging issues to minimise delays or cost escalation.
• Work with teams to ensure effective risk management and informed decisions.
• Monitor progress and effectiveness of mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with processes and infrastructure requirements.
