Job summary

Altrad is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead risk management across the programme, maintaining risk registers, facilitating reviews and workshops, and providing clear risk reporting. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate risks, supporting effective decision-making and timely delivery.

The role supports national security objectives within the defence sector, demanding high standards of safety, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in risk management, including lead or sole Risk Manager.
• Strong knowledge of risk management processes and practices.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to identify trends and contextualise risks from complex information.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of project and programme risk registers.
• Provide strategic, directorate-level risk overview with clear profiles.
• Identify, assess and evaluate risks and opportunities.
• Develop, implement and monitor risk mitigation and response plans.
• Facilitate risk reviews, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide clear risk reporting highlighting key risks and trends.
• Maintain relationships with partners and suppliers to monitor performance.
• Identify emerging issues to minimise delays or cost escalation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure informed decision-making.
