Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a commercially minded Revenue Forecasting & Reporting Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting of wholesale revenue, billing and cash flows. You will manage a team of analysts and partner with Finance, Retail and Group stakeholders to drive accurate forecasts and robust performance insights.

Based in Reading with hybrid working, this full-time role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, experience in financial reporting and forecasting, and

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level with experience in financial reporting and forecasting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with an eye for trends.
• Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel, SQL and experience operating financial modelling tools.
• Strong commercial awareness and mindset, with the ability to make logical decisions.
• Good communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Team leadership and line management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly reporting cycle for the Revenue & Settlement function, consolidating financial information and communicating performance insights to Finance and key business stakeholders.
• Manage and develop revenue and demand forecasting models, providing evidence-based assumptions and analysing trends and variances.
• Support the annual revenue budgeting process with bottom-up analysis to inform budgets and tariff-setting inputs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Retail and Group stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are aligned and adjustments reflected.
• Identify revenue and cash flow risks and opportunities, providing clear recommendations and driving actions.
• Use advanced analytical techniques and modelling to improve understanding of revenue drivers and forecast accuracy.
• Build relationships across the organisation to provide clear, insightful reporting to support objectives.
