Vistry Cornwall South West is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, procurement, and contract administration from Exeter office. You will focus on minimising costs and maximising value while meeting required quality standards.

Qualifications

• HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent is required.
• Experience in the residential housing development sector is preferred.
• Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong mathematical ability and budget management knowledge.
• Negotiating and networking skills are essential.
• Familiarity with COINs platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications and value.
• Review contracts and tender documentation for errors and cost risks.
• Prepare tender lists and procurement programmes updates.
• Prepare cost analyses and compare quotations for best value.
• Assess site staffing and build programmes to estimate preliminary costs.
• Manage budget settlement meetings with the Commercial team.
• Prepare stage payment schedules and manage subcontractor payments.
• Issue variation orders and cost advice on major variations.
