Job summary

Vistry Group in Exeter seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of residential developments at the Halden Reach site. You will report to the Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor and assist cost management from procurement to final accounts.

We value on-site collaboration with flexibility. The role requires strong Excel and budgeting skills, a good grasp of building regulations, and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment.

Qualifications

• HNC / Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Construction management or equivalent.
• Strong mathematical and IT ability.
• A good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
• Good understanding of budget management and cost control.
• Excellent communications and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend site pre-start meetings with the Senior/Quantity Surveyor.
• Assist with tender packages for sub-contract trades.
• Support with sub-contract orders, budget and programme requirements.
• Produce monthly reporting and forecast site budget information.
• Assist with final accounts and cost movements as required.
• Maintain site project administration using the BMS and processes.
