Job summary

Greene King in the United Kingdom is seeking a Purchasing Planner on a 12-month FTC/Secondment to support Brand teams, Operations and GNFR with day-to-day purchasing and planning, ensuring sourcing is efficient and aligned with business needs.

You will manage suppliers and buying panels, drive cost savings, negotiate with key partners, and ensure accurate product and supplier data before launches, while promoting innovation and sustainability across the supplier base.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Commercial and analytical mindset with negotiation ability.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, organisation and communication in fast-paced environments.
• Customer-focused and collaborative approach; purchasing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Brand teams and Operations on key event opportunities and drive innovation while achieving cost savings.
• Manage GNFR product rationalisation and supplier transitions.
• Assist Purchasing Managers with sourcing, supplier reviews, negotiations, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure suppliers meet KPI targets and maintain accurate product data.
• Maintain approved supplier panels and respond to pub queries promptly.
• Collaborate with Risk to minimise environmental impacts and promote sustainability.
