Job summary

Greene King is seeking a Purchasing Planner for a 12-month FTC/secondment to support Brand teams and Operations on key events and GNFR sourcing. You will manage supplier relations, negotiate, review contracts, and drive continuous improvement to meet cost-saving targets.

In this role you’ll work with the Supply Chain to launch new products, maintain supplier panels, and respond to pub queries with accuracy and professionalism. A customer-focused, collaborative approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Brand teams and Operations on key event opportunities and work with suppliers to drive innovation, whilst ensuring cost savings and mitigating cash spend.
• Support with GNFR product Rationalisation, liaising with relevant stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth transition.
• Support the Purchasing Managers with product sourcing, supplier reviews, negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage suppliers to ensure all key performance levels are achieved
• Work with Supply Chain to set up all new products required to support pubs, ensuring accurate product and supplier information is in place prior to launch.
• Maintain approved supplier and buying panels across all GNFR categories, ensuring information remains accurate, compliant, and aligned to business requirements.
• Manage all pub queries coming into the team, providing timely, professional, and accurate support.
• Work closely with Risk team to minimise environmental impacts where relevant
• Promote innovation and sustainability within the supplier base
