Job summary

Greene King Corporate is seeking a Purchasing Planner for a 12-month fixed-term/secondment opportunity. You will support Brand teams and Operations on events, drive supplier innovation, and manage GNFR rationalisation and supplier panels.

You will assist with sourcing, supplier reviews, negotiations, and continuous improvement, ensuring KPIs are met and information is accurate for launch. Strong Excel skills and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

• Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience of working in a Purchasing environment desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Brand teams and Operations on key event opportunities, and work with suppliers to drive innovation while ensuring cost savings and mitigating cash spend.
• Support GNFR product Rationalisation, liaising with relevant stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth transition.
• Assist Purchasing Managers with product sourcing, supplier reviews, negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage suppliers to ensure key performance levels are achieved.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to set up all new products required to support pubs, ensuring accurate product and supplier information prior to launch.
• Maintain approved supplier and buying panels across GNFR categories, safeguarding information accuracy and compliance.
• Handle pub queries, providing timely, professional and accurate support.
• Partner with Risk to minimise environmental impacts where relevant.
• Promote innovation and sustainability within the supplier base.

• Manage all pub queries coming into the team, providing timely, professional, and accurate support.
• Work closely with Risk team to minimise environmental impacts where relevant
• Promote innovation and sustainability within the supplier base
