Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a Project Supply Chain Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of supply chain activities for high-value projects in the UK. You will ensure timely delivery of materials at optimal cost and quality, collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a project-oriented environment with a proven track record handling complex supply chains.
• Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and contract negotiation principles.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific supply chain strategies aligned with timelines.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for project materials and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and address deviations to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and logistics to forecast needs and manage inventory.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, delays, and cost overruns.
• Optimize logistics and transportation for efficient material flow to sites.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and ethical sourcing.
• Generate regular reports on performance, savings, and risk mitigation.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
