Job summary

TipTopJob is assisting a Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire client in recruiting an experienced Production Planner and Supply Chain Coordinator. The role focuses on developing and maintaining production schedules, optimising resources and ensuring smooth materials flow to meet production demands in a busy CNC machine shop environment.

The position is 80:20 planning biased, with responsibilities spanning capacity planning, supplier co-ordination and cross-functional collaboration, aiming to maintain

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Javelin ERP knowledge advantageous).
• Engineering production environment experience.
• Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Capacity Planning: analyse production capacity, identify bottlenecks and optimise resource allocation.
• Production Scheduling: create and maintain master production schedules aligned to demand and capacity.
• Inventory Management: monitor and optimise stock levels and materials planning.
• Supplier Management: coordinate with suppliers for on-time material delivery and cost-effective procurement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with other functions on planning and delivery.
• Process Improvement: apply CI strategies to improve planning processes and storage of materials.
• Performance Monitoring: track KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Customer Focus: manage and grow the customer base and meet expectations.
• Data Analysis: use data to forecast material needs and streamline planning; manage Javelin software.
