Unknown company in Gloucestershire is looking for a Production Planner & Controller to drive production schedules and optimize inventory across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and customer-facing teams to ensure demand is met and on-time delivery is achieved.

The role requires proven production planning experience, strong MRP/ERP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, and production planning processes.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret operational data.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage production schedules to ensure customer demand and operational targets are met.
Monitor inventory levels and material availability, working closely with procurement to minimise shortages and delays.
Analyse forecasts, customer orders, and capacity requirements to optimise production planning.
Track production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
Act as a key liaison between production, supply chain, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure clear communication and on-time delivery.
