Job summary

The Job Shop Recruitment Service SW Ltd in Newton Abbot, UK is seeking a Production Planner to ensure product availability and optimize supply chain performance. You will drive inventory availability using MRP data and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Quality to improve OTIF and service levels.

You will manage supplier relationships, coordinate inbound shipments, and produce reports for management while supporting S&OP processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience managing inventory across multiple SKUs and suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems (Microsoft AX and Syspro).
• Experience with international suppliers and complex supply chains.
• Understanding of imports, freight forwarding, and Incoterms.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, under pressure.
• Continuous improvement mindset and desire for personal development.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing supplier relationships and existing supply chains.
• Using MRP data and forecasting tools to optimise inventory availability and improve OTIF performance.
• Analysing demand forecasts to support accurate purchase order placement.
• Coordinating inbound shipments with freight forwarders across sea, air and road transport.
• Producing insightful supply chain reports and analysis for management.
• Contributing to the S&OP process to support business growth and operational efficiency.
