Job summary

Bouygues UK is expanding its team and seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead bids across Residential, Offices, Education and Healthcare for New Build or Refurbishment projects. You will report to the Preconstruction Director, own the bid strategy and coordinate the Bid Team and partners to deliver compelling, costed solutions.

The role requires substantial pre-construction experience, strong negotiation and commercial awareness, and the ability to translate client requirements into deliverable

Qualifications

• Proven experience with a main building contractor.
• Substantial experience in pre-construction.
• Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Ability to coordinate bid teams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of design/process management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall bid strategy, positioning and win approach.
• Translate client requirements into a coherent, deliverable solution.
• Define win themes, differentiators, and value proposition.
• Interpret client brief and align with internal delivery capability.
• Oversee cost planning and commercial positioning.
• Define construction methodology and sequencing strategy.
• Lead risk and opportunity management for key bids.
• Oversee design development to support bid strategy and constructability.
• Guide procurement strategy and early supply chain engagement.
• Lead internal governance processes and alignment of stakeholders.
• Own the quality and consistency of bid submission.
