Job summary

NHS View All Jobs seeks a Practice Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for the day-to-day running of the practice in Milton Keynes. You will oversee HR, premises, governance, and performance, with support from deputies and managers, and drive improvements using the latest primary care technology.

The role requires a proactive, solution‑focused manager with experience in financial planning, budgeting, contracts, and service development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Experience forecasting and budgeting for a practice
• Experience developing and implementing projects in a healthcare setting
• Experience with HR processes and workforce planning
• Experience in performance management including appraisals and staff development

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice and ensure staff meet primary responsibilities
• Lead HR processes including recruitment, checks, contracts and appraisals
• Manage workforce planning to maintain appropriate skill mix and training
• Ensure employment law compliance and liaise with PCNs and commissioners
• Oversee IT systems, DSPT compliance and data security practices
