Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a PR & Communications Manager to lead the internal and external communications strategy for the Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership.

You will secure media coverage, shape national and international profiles, and work with partners, local authorities and VisitBritain to promote the region. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will develop compelling content and monitor impact to inform leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Senior-level communications experience with a track record securing media coverage
• Ability to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies
• Experience collaborating with partners, authorities and national organisations

Responsibilities

• Lead on communications and media relations for Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership and associated brands
• Create compelling content across channels (press releases, newsletters, blogs)
• Identify opportunities to enhance public perception and promote the brand across media
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers and media outlets
• Act as primary media contact, write and distribute press releases, coordinate interviews
• Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports to leadership on strategy effectiveness
• Collaborate with city region partners, PR agencies, local authorities and national bodies including VisitBritain/VisitEngland
