Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is seeking an experienced Planning Policy professional to lead the preparation, examination, adoption, monitoring and review of the Council's Local Plan and related planning policy documents.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Housing, you will drive plan-making functions, oversee consultations, and provide expert advice to Members and external partners to shape a sustainable borough.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Local Plan policy development and appraisal.
• Strong project management and reporting skills.
• Ability to provide expert advice to Members and officers.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, examination, adoption, monitoring and review of the Local Plan and related planning policy documents.
• Manage complex policy projects and consultation programmes.
• Present evidence at Local Plan examinations and advise senior stakeholders.
