Ribble Valley Borough Council is seeking an experienced Planning Policy professional to lead the preparation, examination, adoption, monitoring and review of the Council's Local Plan and related planning policy documents.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Housing, you will drive plan-making functions, oversee consultations, and provide expert advice to Members and external partners to shape a sustainable borough.

• Experience leading Local Plan policy development and appraisal.
• Strong project management and reporting skills.
• Ability to provide expert advice to Members and officers.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Housing, you will take a leading role in driving the Council's plan-making function and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and policy requirements.

You will manage complex planning policy projects, oversee consultation programmes, prepare and present evidence at Local Plan examinations, and provide expert advice to Members, senior officers and external stakeholders.
