Senior Planning Policy Officer role based in Yorkshire. The post involves policy development, implementation and monitoring of the Local Plan, with a team of professionals supporting growth ambitions and neighbourhood development plans.

The candidate should hold a degree and be eligible for RTPI membership or another relevant professional organisation. Initial 6-month contract with the local authority client.

Qualifications

• Degree in planning or related field is required.
• Eligible to be a corporate member of RTPI or other relevant professional organisation.
• Experience in local plan policy development, implementation and monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Local Plan.
• Contribute to policy development and its ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support growth ambitions and neighbourhood plans.
