Job summary

Omega in Stroud seeks an experienced Planning Lead to own the master production schedule and lead the SOP process. You will collaborate across Production, Procurement, Engineering and Supply Chain to align plans with business goals and optimise inventory and capacity.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing planning, MRP/ERP systems and data-driven decision making, with excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Master Scheduler or similar in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production planning methodologies.
• Experience leading or supporting SOP processes.
• Ability to analyse complex data and make informed planning decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the master production schedule, meeting demand while optimising inventory and capacity.
• Lead the SOP process with accurate demand and supply forecasts.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Engineering and Supply Chain to align plans with business objectives.
• Monitor material availability, capacity constraints and production performance; implement corrective actions.
• Analyse planning data and KPIs to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Support new product introductions and strategic projects with effective planning.
