Job summary

Compassion in World Farming International is seeking a Philanthropy Manager (Major Donors) to build and steward relationships with high-net-worth donors across the UK and Europe, inspiring major gifts to end factory farming.

This hybrid role based in Godalming offers 37 hours per week, with two in-office days, a clear pathway to extend donor networks, manage grants and craft compelling proposals that translate impact into funding.

Qualifications

• Experience fundraising from high-net-worth individuals (£10k+).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and donor stewardship.
• Ability to write and present clear funding proposals.
• Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial approach.
• Able to work to targets and manage budgets.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with GDPR and fundraising ethics; Salesforce advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors (£10k+).
• Identify, cultivate and solicit donors across UK and Europe.
• Develop engagement opportunities and multi-year gifts.
• Create donor communications and funding proposals.
• Track performance using KPIs and forecast pipelines.
