Job summary

Ygam is seeking a People Partner to work across the organisation, aligning business goals with people strategies. You will build high-performing, inclusive teams by developing confident managers and supporting them to make great people decisions.

You’ll be involved in business partnering, employee relations, recruitment, talent and organisational improvement, balancing strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery. Flexibility and hybrid work are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating as a People Partner or Senior HR Adviser.
• Experience advising managers on employee relations matters, including complex cases.
• Experience partnering with managers on recruitment, workforce planning and/or talent management.
• Experience in a mission-led or charity context is desirable.
• Demonstrable coaching style with ability to influence and develop management capability.
• Good knowledge of employment law and best practice with policy application balanced against risk.
• CIPD qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to strengthen leadership capability and support effective decision-making.
• Provide expert, pragmatic advice on employee relations and change processes.
• Advise on organisational and contractual change, guiding consultation and transition.
• Coach managers to lead teams through change, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
• Coach and challenge across the employee lifecycle and support recruitment and talent development.
• Build manager capability to address people challenges early and prevent escalation.
• Support high-performing teams through recruitment, performance management and succession planning.
• Lead and contribute to People projects from development to implementation.
• Drive delivery of talent and workforce priorities, including performance and development planning.
• Partner on workforce planning and organisation-wide change, using data to improve effectiveness.
• Take ownership of policy reviews and practical improvements to recruitment and retention strategies.
• Role model organisational values and act as an ambassador for the People Team.
