Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Commercial Manager (M&E) for an on-site role in Maldon, Essex. The position covers commercial oversight from tender to final account, including contracts, bids, cost tracking, and client coordination.

You will work with project teams and leadership to support pricing, risk management, and reporting, negotiating with suppliers and maintaining records, while ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Manager in Building Services or M&E environments.
• Experience with NEC/JCT or similar forms of contract and cost control.
• Strong analytical, forecasting and business planning capabilities.
• Proven team leadership and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial performance from tender through final account.
• Manage contracts, prepare and review bids and proposals, track costs and margins.
• Ensure all commercial activities align with policies and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams and leadership on pricing strategies and reporting.
• Negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Support risk management and resolve commercial disputes or variations.
• Interact with clients to provide updates and maintain long-term relationships.
