Job summary

Eaton in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced NPI & Bid Manager to lead a Project Procurement team within the Supply Chain function. You will deliver world-class procurement capabilities, partner with stakeholders, and drive value through supplier partnerships, DFM/DFT input, and lifecycle management of new products.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary procurement or project sourcing teams within a complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership capability with a track record of driving high performance and aligning team objectives to business strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Operations and Programme Management.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and category strategy development in regulated sectors.
• Deep understanding of NPI and Bid processes with support for DFM/DFT activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop the project & bid team.
• Provide status updates on projects and ensure business priorities are met.
• Establish long term supplier partners focusing on total cost of supply.
• Align with category managers to reduce supplier base and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies.
• Ensure production readiness reviews and capacity plans meet commitments.
• Influence Technology Enablement solutions to drive efficiency.
• Support future designs with Engineering using supply chain intelligence.
• Deliver cost savings and efficiency enhancements.
• Report monthly on initiatives, risks and opportunities.
