Job summary

Eaton MSD Cheltenham is seeking an experienced NPI & Bid Manager to lead a Project Procurement team within the Supply Chain function. The role focuses on delivering world-class procurement capabilities, partnering with stakeholders to maximise value and ensure compliant supplier engagement across IP and privacy requirements.

You will drive supplier strategy, DFM/DFT collaboration, and lifecycle management from concept to production, while delivering cost efficiencies and resilience across

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary procurement or project sourcing teams within engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong leadership with ability to drive high performance and align objectives to strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across Engineering, Quality, Operations and Programme Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the project & bid team.
• Provide status updates on projects and ensure business priorities are met.
• Establish long-term supplier partnerships focusing on total cost of supply.
• Align with category managers to optimise supplier base and performance.
• Guide agile sourcing and monitor market conditions to adjust strategies.
• Ensure production readiness and capacity plans meet commitments.
• Champion technology enablement to drive efficiency.
• Support design-for-manufacture and design-for-test activities with Engineering.
• Drive make/buy decisions to improve supply readiness and resilience.
• Report monthly on initiatives, opportunities, risks and objectives.
