Job summary

Lampton Group in Hounslow is seeking a high-calibre Non-Executive Director to provide independent oversight and strategic guidance to the Group Board. The role focuses on governance, risk management and delivering sustainable commercial growth while maintaining public purpose.

You will challenge the Executive team, shape strategic direction, monitor performance against KPIs and help ensure robust financial oversight. Approximately 20 days a year with in-person meetings at our offices.

Qualifications

• Board-level experience as a non-executive director
• Extensive senior leadership in a local authority trading company environment
• Expertise in business development/commercial growth
• In-depth knowledge of financial management and treasury
• Significant asset management experience
• Understanding of Lampton Group and its operating environment
• Proven track record in strategic planning and decision-making
• Strong governance, risk management and regulatory compliance knowledge
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with impartial advice
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commitment to governance, integrity and accountability

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to the Group Board
• Support and challenge the Executive Leadership Team on opportunities and delivery
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of the Group’s strategy and business plan
• Oversee financial integrity, budgeting, forecasting and value for money
• Monitor risk management frameworks and strategic risk register
• Engage with shareholders and stakeholders to communicate strategy and performance
• Champion inclusion, wellbeing and safety within the organisation
• Attend Board and Committee meetings and participate in evaluations
• Balance risk, cost, quality and social value in decision-making
