Job summary

Response Personnel in the South East seeks an Operations Director to coordinate multi-site manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement. You will align site performance with the group strategy, report KPI results and monthly performance to the Senior Management Team.

You will champion Lean/6 Sigma, safety, and a proactive maintenance culture while steering budget, OTIF, and quality targets across three sites, developing leadership throughout the operation.

Qualifications

• Engineering background required.
• Recognised academic route or apprenticeship.
• Precision manufacturing experience advantageous in a mid/high complexity environment.
• Passionate about HSE, Quality, Lean, and CI initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain, Production Planning, and MRP.
• Experience with ERP systems, SOP/Planning, and Capacity Planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the operational strategy for the Group across multiple sites.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Oversee manufacturing operations to drive productivity and on-time high-quality output.
• Lead Lean culture and problem-solving (6 Sigma).
• Direct Site Operations Managers to deliver monthly targets across three sites.
• Manage budgets and utilise PerformSmart software for performance improvements.
• Drive OTIF delivery and maintain KPIs and monthly reports.
• Develop preventative maintenance culture and shopfloor quality build-in.
