Job summary

Stirling Warrington Limited, a leading UK manufacturer, seeks an ambitious Operations Director to oversee manufacturing and transport across multiple sites and shifts. You will set an operational strategy for growth, build a high-performing management team and drive productivity, quality, yield and cost improvements at pace.

You will champion automation, continuous improvement and strong health/safety practices, while aligning with R&D and the senior leadership team to sustain an upward

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally across multiple sites or shifts.
• A proven record of improving performance: faster, leaner and better quality.
• The confidence to challenge the status quo and take calculated risks.
• A collaborative style that brings commercial, R&D, HR and operations together.
• Strong commercial awareness and a sharp eye on cost.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver an operational strategy built for growth and scale
• Lead production and transport across all sites and shifts
• Build a high-performing management team that owns its results
• Drive productivity, quality, yield and cost through clear KPIs
• Push automation, continuous improvement and waste reduction
• Own Health & Safety, environmental and quality compliance, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
• Lead change and new product introductions with R&D and the senior leadership team
• Manage budgets, workforce planning and capital investment
