Job summary

Gregory Martin International is seeking a Manufacturing Planning Engineer in Byfleet, near Woking, Surrey. The role covers planning, coordinating and controlling manufacturing activities across fabrication, machining and assembly to meet customer requirements while upholding safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has in-depth experience with ERP/MRP systems, drawings and BOMs, and strong analytical as well as stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
Experience in a manufacturing planning, production planning or manufacturing engineering role.
Demonstrable experience supporting fabrication, machining and mechanical assembly operations.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, CNC machining, and assembly techniques.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning, scheduling and material control.
Ability to interpret drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
Experience in capacity planning, workload management and production scheduling.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and control manufacturing activities across fabrication, machining and assembly.
Ensure customer requirements are met safely, efficiently and on time with high quality.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and BOMs to drive production work.
Support capacity planning, scheduling and material control to balance demand and capacity.
