Job summary

Gregory-Martin International is seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter/Programmer for our West Byfleet workshop. You will set up, program and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components in exotic materials.

The role requires reading drawings with GD&T, selecting tools, optimizing speeds and feeds, performing in-process inspection and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Experience machining exotic materials and difficult alloys.
• Ability to machine complex components to tight tolerances.
• CNC programming experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Understanding of tooling and machining strategies.
• Experience with inspection and quality processes.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC turning machines.
• Manufacture components to tight tolerances (typically within microns).
• Work with exotic materials such as Inconel, Titanium, Hastelloy, Duplex and other alloys.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds.
• Conduct in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
• Ensure all parts meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot Machining issues and make adjustments.
• Follow safety procedures.
