Job summary

Gregory Martin International is seeking a Manufacturing Planning Engineer in Byfleet, near Woking, Surrey. The role covers planning, coordinating and controlling manufacturing activities across fabrication, machining and assembly to meet customer requirements while upholding safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has in-depth experience with ERP/MRP systems, drawings and BOMs, and strong analytical as well as stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
• Experience in a manufacturing planning, production planning or manufacturing engineering role.
• Demonstrable experience supporting fabrication, machining and mechanical assembly operations.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, CNC machining, and assembly techniques.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning, scheduling and material control.
• Ability to interpret drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience in capacity planning, workload management and production scheduling.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Manufacturing Planning Engineer

Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Planning Engineer and you would be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing activities across fabrication, machining and assembly operations to ensure customer requirements are met safely, efficiently and on time while maintaining the highest quality standards.

As Manufacturing Planning Engineer you would need to have:

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing planning, production planning or manufacturing engineering role.
• Demonstrable previous experience supporting and planning fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, CNC machining operations, assembly techniques and manufacturing workflows.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning, scheduling, and material control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience in capacity planning, workload management and production scheduling.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
