Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior education lead to oversee statutory and mandatory training, ensuring governance compliance and strategic delivery across the BEAT Education Team.

You will lead the Oracle Learning Management system, manage education staff, monitor completion, and produce reports for senior managers, while collaborating with external partners across Dorset health services.

Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent experience or training in HR, healthcare or project management.
• Senior-level CPD evidence or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of NHS statutory and mandatory training frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage statutory and mandatory training programmes to meet compliance and governance targets.
• Oversee Trust Induction and ensure high-quality onboarding for new staff.
• Lead the management and development of the Oracle Learning Management system and other education platforms.
• Line manage the Non-Clinical Educator, OLM Lead and Education and Training Coordinators.
• Monitor training completion, analyse data and produce compliance reports for senior managers.
• Design and evaluate training programmes against national standards.
• Develop, review and improve training policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Lead service improvement projects and support delivery of Education and Training Strategy.
• Collaborate with departments and external organisations to deliver training.
• Provide expert advice on mandatory training, governance and workforce development.
