Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking two Major Projects Operational & Maintenance Leads to join the Strategic Asset Management team in a hybrid role based in Peterborough. The role offers a salary circa £51,000–£55,000 and focuses on delivering major water infrastructure with operations at the heart of projects.

The successful candidates will provide operational expertise, influence design decisions, and develop maintenance strategies while championing safety and continuous improvement across programmes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience operating or maintaining water, water recycling or complex industrial assets.
• Experience in high-hazard or highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, maintenance, process safety and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational expertise throughout project development, design and commissioning activities.
• Influence project teams to ensure operational & maintenance considerations are embedded from the earliest stages.
• Support the development of operational & maintenance strategies for major infrastructure programmes.
• Identify and challenge operational & maintenance risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Champion safety in design and continuous improvement across projects in key process safety areas.
