Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Design Lead to drive design delivery for major potable water transfer projects within the Strategic Pipeline Alliance.

The role will oversee the design element from feasibility through construction and commissioning, coordinating closely with the head of engineering, design manager and senior designers. This hybrid role offers flexible working with a Peterborough-based office and home, supporting a long-term programme with complex modular design approaches

Qualifications

• Degree level in engineering or related subject.
• Experience managing a section of design works across civil, mechanical, electrical and controls.
• Strong track record delivering design with a production mindset, including modular designs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast and resource design activities across their element of the project.
• Collaborate with project management, construction, enabling, planning, commercial and procurement teams.
• Develop relationships with AW operational stakeholders to support design decision making and client sign-off.
• Ensure design information flow and CDM compliance throughout delivery.
