Job summary

The Descartes Systems Group Inc. is seeking an Implementation Consultant to help customers achieve measurable operational value from routing, scheduling, and mobile solutions.

You will translate logistics requirements into scalable implementations and guide customers through design, deployment, testing, training, and adoption across the UK and Europe. You will work with the EMEA Professional Services team, applying technical and logistics knowledge to deliver successful implementations,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in software implementation consulting, routing, logistics, supply chain, or a related environment.
• Experience across the full software deployment lifecycle, including requirements capture, solution design, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, training, and operational handover.
• Strong understanding of routing and scheduling operations and the ability to apply technology to real-world logistics challenges.
• Experience delivering business transformation or process‑improvement initiatives that generate measurable operational savings or efficiencies.
• Ability to document business objectives, translate them into solution requirements, and deliver solutions designed to achieve the required business outcomes and ROI.
• Experience delivering live training and coaching users through the early stages of solution adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead successful customer implementations by configuring routing, scheduling, and mobile solutions to meet agreed requirements and timelines.
• Facilitate workshops, analyze logistics processes, document requirements, and configure solutions to address objectives and ROI.
• Use data modelling and configuration to identify opportunities for improved routing, scheduling, productivity, service levels, and efficiency.
• Train and coach customer users to ensure effective adoption and sustained use of the solution.
• Configure and test applications across client-server, web, and mobile environments, supporting integrations as needed.
• Develop demonstrations and data models tailored to customer and industry needs; identify product enhancements to support outcomes.
• Provide trusted technical and application expertise as a resource for Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, and Operations.
• Balance multiple projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate clearly amid risks and dependencies.
