Job summary

Culina is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth within Contract Logistics. You will hunt and secure new contracts, manage relationships with senior decision makers, and shape proposals that meet client needs.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will build a robust pipeline, attend industry events, and collaborate with internal teams. UK-wide location flexibility and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Development in Third Party Logistics (3PL) sector.
• Proven track record as a hunter of new prospects.
• Experience dealing with senior management and board level.
• Experience writing proposals and tender documents that are creative and compelling.
• Confident and proactive, able to represent the company and client.
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and objectives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• New Business Development: hunt for new prospects, secure new business, identify decision makers, build relationships, represent the company and its services.
• Business Development Planning: attend industry events, explore new services, identify opportunities for campaigns, develop differentiators.
• Management & Research: understand company goals, research services and capabilities, produce reports for Board, forecast and budget, monitor industry developments.
