Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Assistant Director, People, Reward and Performance (PRP) for UK clients based in London, Manchester or Glasgow. You will advise on complex workforce reward challenges, shape strategies and lead engagements with senior client stakeholders.

This role requires deep reward expertise, commercial judgement and the ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations. You will lead and develop managers and coaches, and contribute to growing the PRP practice across our

Qualifications

• Significant experience within reward, ideally gained in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to advise senior and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to manage conflicting demands within a fast-paced environment.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial, action-oriented approach.
• Track record of leading significant client engagements or workstreams and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and workstreams, owning delivery quality and senior client relationships.
• Develop people and reward strategies aligned with clients' business, talent and performance goals.
• Provide senior oversight of complex analytical work and translate insights into recommendations.
• Design reward structures including pay frameworks and incentive arrangements.
• Shape viewpoints and commercially-focused recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Lead and develop Managers and junior colleagues, coaching and ensuring quality across engagements.
• Contribute to PRP growth by identifying opportunities and expanding client relationships.
