Seddon Construction is seeking a Head of Pre-Construction – Assets & Decarbonisation in Bolton to steer strategic pre-construction activities for Housing Partnerships NW. Lead bid strategy, nurture client relationships, and build a high-performing team delivering growth in sustainable homes.

Role requires track record in bid/tender leadership, a relevant undergraduate degree (BSc or equivalent), MCIOB or RICS, and a passion for decarbonisation.

Qualifications

• People management skills with clear expectations and management.
• Track record of successful bid/tender delivery.
• Minimum Undergraduate Degree (e.g. BSc).
• MCIOB or RICS qualifications.
• Sustainability and De-carbonisation knowledge desirable.
• Leadership qualification or working towards desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create business vision and strategy.
• Lead business development and management by developing customer, framework and consultant relationships.
• Manage regional bid team to ensure best bid solutions for the regions.
• Develop a steady pipeline of opportunities to deliver turnover targets.
• Collaborate with operations and commercial teams and engage regional estimators.
• Coach and develop team members to support growth and delivery.
• Share knowledge to upskill the team and position Seddon as a market leader.
• Engage with supply chain to gain commitments and best solutions.
• Provide general technical advice for bids and the wider business.
• Encourage innovation and best practice across the business.
• Stay informed on industry changes to maintain market leadership.
