Job summary

Haringey Council is seeking an experienced Strategic Lead - Resident Access & Prevention Support to head the Adult Social Care Front Door, Early Intervention, Prevention and Communication teams. You will shape how residents access services and drive early help, with a focus on reducing unnecessary demand.

Reporting to the Director for Adult Social Care, you will lead a ~50-strong multidisciplinary team, implement a new structure, and foster collaboration across health, housing and voluntary

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading Adult Social Care access, triage and high-volume front-door services.
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding duties.
• Proven track record in service redesign and transformation.
• Ability to lead through change while maintaining performance and staff engagement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of cross-organisational collaboration with health, housing and voluntary sector.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and co-production with residents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Front Door, ASC Early Intervention, Prevention and Communication teams.
• Drive transformation under the ASC Transformation Programme and digital upgrades.
• Provide strategic leadership across access, triage, safeguarding decisions, complaints and information.
• Develop and improve prevention pathways and customer experience.
• Ensure financial rigour and robust performance management.
• Foster partnership working with health, housing and community organisations.
