Job summary

Dudley-based Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Front Door and Early Help service leader for a 5-month contract with a local authority. The role provides leadership, management and oversight of the Early Help function within the Front Door Service to ensure timely, appropriate support for children, young people and families.

You will drive service improvement, ensure robust safeguarding processes, lead multi-agency collaboration and oversee performance, audits and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams and providing professional leadership.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
• Experience with Early Help, MASH and Front Door Services.
• Ability to analyse complex information and make sound decisions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Early Help function within the Front Door Service.
• Provide management oversight and decision-making for Early Help contacts.
• Ensure consistent threshold decision-making in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Promote timely interventions and multi-agency collaboration.
• Monitor performance indicators and outcomes; drive improvement.
• Oversee quality assurance activities including audits and reviews.
• Develop partnerships with Children’s Services, Health, Police and partners.
• Lead, motivate and support staff through supervision and coaching.
• Represent the service at partnership meetings and strategic forums.
