Job summary

SSE Renewables is hiring a Land Manager to secure land rights for major offshore wind projects, including onshore rights for critical electrical infrastructure. You'll work with consenting, engineering and project teams to unlock opportunities and manage risk from early development through to construction.

You will develop land assembly strategies, negotiate with landowners and external stakeholders, and support DCO/CPO processes.

Qualifications

• Experience securing land rights within renewables, utilities, infrastructure or major development projects with knowledge of DCO and CPO processes.
• A degree in Rural Surveying, Land Economy, Estate Management or related discipline.
• Professional membership of RICS, CAAV or equivalent experience delivering major linear infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills balancing stakeholder needs with project objectives.
• A good understanding of planning, environmental constraints and land legislation affecting major infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

• Secure and manage the full range of land rights and legal agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop land assembly strategies, valuation approaches and budget forecasts to support project delivery.
• Coordinate negotiations with landowners, agents and external stakeholders, building trust-based relationships.
• Support DCO processes and land-related aspects of CPO applications where required.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and consenting teams and manage external land consultants.
