Job summary

Bucks & Berks Recruitment is assisting a client in Maidenhead with a Learning and Development Advisor role on a 3-month contract. The position is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days per week in the office, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm.

The role focuses on leading the development of a strong L&D culture, planning annual L&D activities, delivering training within budget, and coordinating with external providers to ensure value for money.

Qualifications

• You must have existing experience within learning and development to be successful in this position

Responsibilities

• Lead on the development of a strong L&D culture throughout the organisation and inspire others by example.
• Create the annual L&D plan with the People Services Manager and align learning to corporate priorities and budgets.
• Deliver the annual L&D plan within timescales and budget, sourcing activity as needed.
• Negotiate with external providers to maximise value for money and tailor programmes.
• Research, design and deliver in-house L&D programmes including management development, induction, performance management and equality/diversity training.
• Oversee rollout of essential e-learning, monitor completion rates, and aim for 100% completion by target date.
• Promote L&D activities within the organisation using multiple communication channels.
• Monitor and evaluate learning outcomes to improve value of activities.
• Organise and lead recruitment for apprenticeships, work experience and undergraduate placements.
• Support managers with induction and personal development plans and performance management cycles.
• Ensure systems digitise and improve efficiency of L&D processes.
• Support succession planning and provide line management for the Learning Coordinator.
