Job summary

Phoenix Software, a leading UK IT solutions and managed service provider, is seeking a Sales Executive to focus on charities and housing sectors. You will identify, develop and convert new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline while forming trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

You will drive growth by managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, cross-selling to existing accounts, and collaborating with pre-sales, vendors and services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sales, account management or business development role.
• Strong track record of generating new business and developing customer relationships.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Knowledge of the Charities and/or Housing sectors would be advantageous.
• Understanding of public sector procurement and framework-based purchasing is desirable.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Self-motivated, organised and results-driven.
• Experience within the IT, technology or managed services sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities within the Charities and Housing sectors.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking and outreach activity.
• Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Understand customer challenges and align Phoenix solutions to meet their business objectives.
• Manage opportunities effectively through the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to close.
• Grow and develop existing customer accounts by identifying additional opportunities and cross-sell potential.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and customer information within CRM systems.
• Work closely with internal teams, including pre-sales, vendors and services, to deliver successful customer outcomes.
• Keep up to date with market trends, procurement routes and developments across the Charities and Housing sectors.
• Achieve and exceed individual sales, revenue and activity targets.
