Job summary

Amazon UK is hiring an Inventory Planner to optimize the transportation and delivery network for Prime Day and peak periods. You will lead forecasting, demand-planning, and data-driven improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the EU.

The role emphasizes hands-on analytics, strategic planning, and scalable process design. The ideal candidate combines logistics passion with strong data skills, experience in SQL and BI tools, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
• Experience in project management, or experience with advanced use of Excel and using statistical analysis applications.
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence, or experience working with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity integration programs with stakeholders and set up all aspects of the S&OP function from demand and capacity forecasting, execution, software designing and driving process improvements.
• As Inventory Planner, help Amazon Shipping manage, improve, and optimize the way parcels are shipped from our shippers and delivered to our customers.
• Build strategic plans to fulfill customer demand at the cheapest and in a cost efficient way.
• Work with operational stakeholders to drive execution to the plans.
• Lead daily, weekly, monthly operational cycles with stakeholders and Business, onboarding the right strategic shippers.
• Highlight misses and close actions within supply chain.
• Drive first mile supply chain forecasting accuracy with local teams.
• Provide actionable insights into current forecasting issues and improvements avenues.
• Lead end-to-end planning for events like Prime Day or other peak periods.
• Support expansion of the network and new locations by analyzing expansion speed.
