Job summary

Carbon 60, Inc. is seeking an experienced Writer/Editor to join the Internal Communications team in Maidenhead on a 6-month temporary basis. You will transform external stories and business updates into engaging internal content across channels.

You will write and edit stories, translate announcements for employees, and collaborate with senior leaders. The role requires strong writing, editing, storytelling, and the ability to apply editorial standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in writing, editing, journalism, or corporate communications.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills for internal audiences.
• Experience adapting content for intranets, email, newsletters, and internal social channels.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to interview senior leaders.
• Attention to detail, grammar, tone, and plain-language communications.
• Organised, able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Write internal articles and stories based on external communications activity.
• Translate external announcements into employee-focused internal content for internal channels.
• Edit content for clarity, structure, tone, and quality.
• Support intranet content, campaigns, leadership talking points and short-form internal content.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to verify facts and understand audience requirements.
• Apply editorial standards and tone-of-voice guidelines; use AI responsibly to support content creation and editing.
