The role focuses on clear writing, editing, and audience empathy, with responsibility for intranet updates, campaign content, and stakeholder briefings; you will interview senior colleagues and use AI tools with human oversight.

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in agriculture and agritech for a writer and storyteller with editing expertise. You will help bring the company’s external stories to life for colleagues across the business.

The role translates news, campaigns, customer stories, sustainability updates, innovation stories and external thought leadership into clear, engaging internal content. Your work will help employees understand what the company is saying externally, why it matters and how it connects to its purpose: delivering breakthroughs for farmers, in every field.

As part of the Content and Storytelling team, you will also support quality control and editing of other internal articles, Intranet updates and campaign content, working from source material provided by the wider communications team. The focus is on strong writing, careful editing, audience empathy and a clear understanding of what colleagues need to know.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging internal stories based on external communications activity, helping colleagues understand the relevance and impact of the company’s work.
• Turn external announcements, campaign materials, media stories and business updates into colleague-friendly content for internal channels.
• Edit and improve internal content provided by others, strengthening clarity, tone, structure and consistency while preserving the intended message.
• Support the day-to-day production of Intranet articles, employee updates, campaign copy, talking points and short-form channel content.
• Work with communications colleagues to gather background information, check facts and clarify audience needs before drafting or editing.
• Apply editorial standards, tone of voice and messaging consistently across internal content.
• Make complex topics easier to understand by focusing on what colleagues need to know, why it matters and what it means for them.
• Use AI and digital tools responsibly to support drafting, editing, summarising and adapting content, applying human judgement and fact-checking throughout.

About You

• 5+ years' experience in writing, editing, journalism, corporate communications, content marketing or a related communications role.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to make content clear, accurate, concise and engaging for an internal audience.
• Good judgement about what makes a story relevant to employees, including the ability to explain the "why it matters" behind business updates.
• Experience adapting content for different channels, including Intranet, email, employee newsletters, internal social platforms and offline materials such as posters and leaflets.
• Comfortable working from briefs, source material and stakeholder input, with the confidence to interview senior employees.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, grammar, tone and plain language.
• Organised and reliable, able to manage several drafts or editing tasks at the same time and meet agreed deadlines.
• Curious about business, agriculture, food systems, sustainability and innovation, and the role the company plays for farmers and society.
• Collaborative and open to feedback, with a willingness to learn from more senior communicators and build strong editorial judgement over time.
